We hear people grumble over and over again that their spouses bring home junk food, won’t get off the couch, or mock their efforts at getting in shape.”In sickness and in health, till death do us part.” It sounds so romantic, but the reality is sometimes much different.
Maybe we should also vow to honor our own bodies, taking care of them so our spouses won’t have to someday. Wouldn’t you rather spend your golden years, which are right around the corner, with a healthy, vital person rather than with someone suffering from disease caused by having led an unhealthy lifestyle.
Many couple’s have the misconception that they can’t exercise or train with their spouse because of gender differences in strength and/or abilities, when in fact the benefits of training with your spouse far outweigh any differences:
